The Passage of Time

It is really an illusion, this whole concept of time. You will age, everyone does, bit growing older is an option. It is an option for you to decide that some of the things society believes can only be done by those that are younger in age, cannot be done by you now. If your health permits, then you should not allow societal beliefs to shade your future or the present moment. I have read that people grow old only by deserting their ideals - Years may wrinkle your face to give up enthusiasm, wrinkles the soul. If you look at your life, or the life of those around you, you will observe most of the life is lived in a hypnotic state, a mechanical state - where each day before closely resembles today and the coming day, a monotony, a senseless similarity and that takes away any nourishment of newness. it is like you would have to watch the same movie everyday for many years. And ultimately a struggle, a voiceless revolt will arise within you which will ultimately destabilize your peace, your joy. Just like the river, which ultimately merges with the ocean, you also cannot turn back. It is best to flow with the passage of time. I wasted time, and now doth time waste me.
